History Helps

So I realized (nearly 8 years after moving in) that the light over the kitchen sink was never installed. Thanks to my photojournalistic work on this blog, I know roughly where it is behind the sheet rock and will be able to get it all taken care of now. Thanks me!

Online presence

I am all over the place these days. I was looking at all of the "custom" urls that I have assigned to different services I am a member of and was blown away. I will try to start listing them here. Notice that there are already a number of site links over to the right, so instead of duplicating my work, I will only list the unique ones here. Also know that sites on the right are sites that I host myself, whereas everything below is hosted elsewhere.

Personal
Two social networking sites that I have profiles on.

These two are streaming music sites that I listen to. Pandora is my preferred site. If you ever want to know what music I am listening to, go there.

Something that came with my Time Warner broadband connection. It is just a redirect at this time.

The ceiling fan saga

So...we have a remote control ceiling fan in our bedroom. Seemed like a good idea...change the lighting and fan levels from bed and all. Well...there is interference in the neighborhood. Someone has something on the same frequency. After going round and round, it still won't work. The model is 288570-420. Hunter advised that we change channels on it. That means taking the whole fan down (which I did) and taking of the back of the remote (which I did) and set both to new channels. Worked great for a week, and then BLAM! What sucks is that when we get the interference, the fan hits Mach 10, and the light comes on full blast. Quite the wake up call at 3 am.

Not fixed yet...but a lot less frequent. Some neighbors moved out...maybe it was them the whole time.
